Post-Akon

June 15, 2011

The Happy! Project girls attended A-kon in Dallas, Texas this past week! They had a lot of fun performing their concert on Friday for the crowd there.

They also performed various dance covers at the NekoNeko Maid and Host Club. Check out the video they caught of their dance cover of Berryz Koubou’s ‘Tomodachi wa Tomodachi Nanda!’

We are very grateful for all the wonderful people we met there this weekend! We recieved some fantastic support and even gifts from some of our fans. We can’t express how thankful we are for each and every one of you!

We’ll have some more videos from A-kon coming soon! So keep watching for them!

For the rest of the summer the girls will be working on various projects including recording their debut single! We ask for your continued support and love!

Post-Comicpalooza

June 5, 2011

First of all, We would like to thank Comicpalooza for giving us the opportunity to attend and perform there! We all had a lot of fun performing for a new crowd!

Happy! Pro table
Happy! Project table

Friday, We had a table at the Artist Alley where we sold  merchandise. We sold photo cards, member buttons, and cute bunny items. We also displayed costumes we have made and our past performances which changed daily. Giving fans a chance to see some the variety of costuming the girls wear for each performance!

Our table was a hit and we sold out on all of our buttons and most of our photo cards by Sunday. Thank you everyone who came by and purchased items!

Saturday Happy! Project had an awesome concert! Fans and Friends were there cheering us on with glow sticks. It made it us so happy. We also made new friends with people who came to see us perform and had never attended a J-pop concert. I hope the new experience was a good one. So thank you everyone for your support!

Sunday, the girls had fun at their Q&A panel answering questions from the audience and talking about all sorts of behind the scenes stories. The girls talked about where they’ve been and where they are going and where they’d like to go in the future. They had a lot of fun with the audience! A big thank you to all of you who were able to make it despite the late panel time.

Happy! Project Debut Single

May 19, 2011

Everyone, we have some exciting news!  Happy! Project has been presented with the opportunity to release our own original Japanese Pop music!  Yesterday, we met with a producer and music composer.  We had the chance to visit the recording studio, had a small recording session, and even listened to several demos of possible new songs. There was even the mention of the possibility of marketing our CD in Japan!

However, we can only make this happen with your support.  Happy! Project has been completely funded by the members in the past.  All of the girls have put everything that they have, up until now, into the group for travel, rehearsals, equipment, and costumes, among other costs.  Although this is a fantastic opportunity, the group’s funds are not able to support this on it’s own.

This is where our wonderful friends and fans come in.  If you would like to help us achieve our dream of releasing our own single, we would be extremely grateful.  People who donate $50 or more will receive a special thank you with their name printed on the inside cover of our CD jacket.  Donations of $100 or more will receive a special thank you with their name printed on the inside cover of our CD jacket and a special gift.

Believe us when we say that this was an extremely difficult post to write.  Happy! Project as group has always prided ourselves on being self-funded and not ever asking for help from others.  It’s difficult for us.  However, this is so extremely important to us that we felt it was time to open up to those of you out there who  understand what we hope to accomplish!

Please remember that this is not a fast process.  The music will take awhile to be completed, then the lyrics will be arriving from Japan, a long time spent in the recording studio, the entire mixing process, and then getting the printing and details completed.  This process may take up to 6 months.
Please donate! You can donate through paypal below, or if you prefer you can send donations to our P.O. Box

Post Sakuracon & NEWS

April 26, 2011

Happy! Project was in Seattle, WA this past weekend attending Berryz Kobou’s 1st USA event at Sakuracon. The girl’s had a blast attending this historic event. They also got a chance to perform for a 2nd time in front of Japanese and American fans at Hello! Party 2. We would like to thank Hello! Ranking’s Jennifer & Bryan for once again giving us this great opportunity.  We would also like to thank all fans, especially the Japanese ones for helping make the Berryz Koubou fan events and lines run smoothly.

The girl’s were able to meet Berryz Koubou and even got their picture taken and twittered by their management staff in the costumes they made to commemorate this event!  We are very excited and honored to have UFA management acknowledge us in that manner.

Thank you everyone for your support with our performance and making this a great experience! It was nice to see old friends and meet new friends at this event! We hope to see you all soon!

Thank you!

December 14, 2010

As our year draws to a close, the members of Happy! Project wanted to express their thanks to each and every one of you who supported us this year. We’ve had a fantastic year, and we’ve met so many new friends! We were able to travel to different places around the United States, and perform in new and different venues. All of this would not have been possible without each and everyone of your loving support.

Our fall tour was a great success, SoniCon and Izumicon were a ton of fun! We really enjoyed working with both these events.

It was our first year working with SoniCon. Many things didn’t go according to plan, and there were technical difficulties, but the girls rocked it out best they could, and had a fantastic time performing. Many of the girls have said, dance wise, it was one of their strongest performances yet. The energy of the crowd was fun, and we had fun interacting with them. We would like to thank those of you who purchased merchandise at the Happy! Project table. We had fun meeting our friends and fans at our table. We were also given a panel time at SoniCon. Finding out that we had a panel, was a little surprising at first, and we weren’t sure to talk about. We had so much fun laughing, and sharing stories with all of our panel attendees. We truly hope that each of you had as fantastic experience as we did. We have so many fond memories because of you! Thank you so much!

It was our third year at Izumicon! The girls were contemplating on that and thinking how fast time has flown by! As usual, we had a fun time at Izumicon. Our schedule only allowed us to be in attendance for the day of our concert, however we tried to make the most out of that day! We met many great new friends, and did some interviews for Lotus Comics and Sephi: The Wonder Shounen. We want to thank them, as well as our long time friends and fans, that have supported us since our first performance there in 2007. The concert was a success, and we had so much fun! The girls were a little surprised upon finding the stage to be smaller than expected, but rocked out regardless! We’d also like to extend our thanks to those of you who purchased merchandise at this event as well!

In closing, thank you to all the events that were gracious and welcoming, inviting us to perform at your event. It was a pleasure working with all of you this year, Animeland Wasabi, SoniCon, Izumicon. A big thank you to Robert Thompson & Neil Dronet photography. And thank you to NekoNeko Maid and Hostess Club, we loved working with you guys this year!

We look forward to 2011, we know with your continued support, we can make 2011, the best year yet!!

Love Always,

The Happy! Project Girls
